We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer on a long term contract to join a leading engineering facility in Wolverhampton. This is an opportunity to contribute to a high-impact project focused on precision measurement, data analysis, and continuous quality improvement.

Key Responsibilities

– Operate and measure components using CMM machines with Zeiss Calypso software.

– Interpret measurement data to identify trends, deviations, and improvement opportunities.

– Conduct corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

– Perform bottleneck reviews to optimise production flow.

– Lead PPAP Analysis.

– Support root cause analysis and implement robust solutions.

– Develop and maintain quality documentation, including inspection plans and control procedures.

– Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with internal and external quality standards.

– Participate in internal audits and support external audit readiness.

– Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the NPI process.

Required Skills & Experience

– Proven experience as a Quality Engineer in a manufacturing or engineering environment.

– Proficiency in CMM operation and Calypso software.

– Strong understanding of quality systems, standards, and methodologies (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100).

– Experience with data analysis, problem-solving tools, and lean manufacturing principles.

– Excellent communication and documentation skills.

– Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

– Degree or HND in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related discipline.

– Experience in aerospace, automotive, or precision engineering sectors.

– Familiarity with NPI processes and cross-functional project teams.
