This amazing permanent role for a CMM Inspector / Programmer a is a unique opportunity to showcase your expertise and skills with a world leading Formula 1 organisation.

You will be a key member within the team and the person that secures this position will be crucial to the success of this dynamic company on its F1 projects.

This role will be 100% based on site in Brackley

Please note, the shift pattern will operate from Friday-Sunday (6am-6pm).

About the Role:

Reporting to the Machine Shop Inspection Team Leader, you will be responsible for the efficient inspection and verification of components, to ensure adherence to specification, in accordance with defined procedures and priorities.

Key Accountabilities (Duties):

  • Operating and running CMM machines to validate dimensional accuracy of components against drawing specifications.
  • Efficient use of other inspection equipment to validate mechanical and visual characteristics of components.
  • Strict adherence to drawings, defined operating procedures and work instructions.
  • Flexible approach to working in order to achieve lead times, within a fast-paced environment.
  • Working within defined Health and Safety guidelines.

Experience of the following would be beneficial:

  • Experienced in the use of Hexagon CMM Machines and Romer Arms.
  • Practical and working knowledge of G,D & T.
  • PC-DMIS programming (highly advantageous, 20% of role).
  • Excellent 1st principal inspection knowledge
  • Experienced in the use of ERP software (ideally SAP)

What we are looking for:

The successful candidate will come from an engineering background, possess relevant qualifications and have a strong working knowledge of engineering drawings, alongside a strong knowledge of GD&T.

Experience within a Motorsport environment (preferably F1) would be advantageous. Computer literate (including Microsoft Office and ideally SAP) with a conscientious mind-set and a keen eye for detail, as accuracy is paramount.

You will possess effective communication skills and will have the ability to remain focused and objective under pressure. You will be able to demonstrate a process mind-set with the capability for logically solving complex problems. Resilient and professional with a belief in the concept of Continuous Improvement. Energetic with a strong work ethic and customer focus.

Flexibility in hours and a can-do approach is required, along with the ability to work in a team, under pressure and to strict deadlines with minimum supervision.
