What you will do:

• Create from first principles, mathematical models of physical phenomena; primarily but not exclusively multi-body dynamic systems:
• Create from first principle model libraries and simulations using modelica / dymola
• From these models, create algorithms that can be used by application specific teams eg vehicle dynamics
• Integrating those tools and models with the wider software and data-handling
• infrastructure.

What you will need:

• Masters degree and PhD majoring in mathematical modelling/simulation of any phenomena (automotive or non-automotive)
• 3+ years experience (PdD in lieu) with object-oriented modelling languages, e.g. Modelica, etc.
• Familiarity with FMI/FMU standards would be useful
• Experience in C/C++ AND Python
• Numerical analysis & linear algebra, PDE/ODE, Optimal control theory, multibody dynamics, monte carlo simulations, interpolation and root finding, non-linear algebra/phenomena
