Sales Manager – Aviation Components

We are recruiting on behalf of a leading aviation component supplier / repairer that are seeking a Sales Manager to lead their team due to an imminent vacancy. This is a hands-on role that offers the opportunity to lead a dedicated sales and customer service team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and develop a team of 8 staff across Customer Service & Sales; providing guidance on sales quotes and fostering initiative.
- Oversee account management, focusing primarily on key aviation customers
- Actively reach out to customers to build and expand business relationships.
- Collaborate closely with the new Head of department to align strategies and goals.
Essential Requirements:
- Proven experience in commercial / sales leadership role, specifically within the aviation sector.
- Strong account management skills, with the ability to engage and develop client relationships.
- Familiarity with sales systems such as Quantum, SAP, IFS, or Pentagon (Quantum experience is highly desirable).
- Must be local and easily commutable to the office in Essex.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience managing both sales and customer service teams.
- A hands-on approach to leadership, encouraging team initiative and growth.
- Previous experience with the aerospace industry would be advantageous.
Working Arrangements:
The ideal candidate should be prepared to work in a local office environment, though there may be some flexibility regarding remote work arrangements.
