Job Description:
Arden White are looking for a talented leader to join our clients Operations Leadership Team in Surrey. If you have a solid background in manufacturing practices, MRP control, demand and inventory management, and SIOP, this is the role for you. You’ll be responsible for leading a cross-functional team and achieving financial and customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a 6-month and 6-week sales plan based on input from Purchasing, Customer Services, and Operations, with regular reviews.
- Implement and manage the Master Production Schedule as needed.
- Support SIOP (Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning) requirements with the Senior Leadership Team to meet key business sales targets.
- Load the executable sales plan into the MRP system, collaborating with Customer Services.
- Ensure daily planning activities are executed within necessary service levels and monitor with KPI-driven metrics for planners and schedulers.
- Focus on improving On-Time Delivery (OTD) of production orders, working closely with the Operations team.
- Act as an MRP “super user” and develop departmental reports to ensure MRP parameters align with company policy.
- Develop, mentor, and coach all members of the planning team.
- Lead ERP projects that drive business optimization.
Professional Knowledge & Experience:
- Production Planning Management experience from a fast paced engineering / manufacturing industry.
- Proven ability to lead and execute SIOP.
- Deep understanding of MRP parameters and their functionality.
- Solid analytical skills in forecasting, production needs, and capabilities.
- Strong problem-solving skills, adaptable to a variety of situations under pressure.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Experienced in works order control.
- Understanding of traceability and its importance in production planning.
- Representing the planning team at internal meetings, presenting planning performance metrics.
- Commitment to continuous self-development.
- Ability to lead cross-functional projects and negotiate across teams.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Proven track record in driving results and team collaboration.
