Arden White is currently looking for talented and enthusiastic mechanical and mechatronics design engineers to join our clients growing design team and support delivery of advanced steering and other high precision systems.

You will be responsible for supporting all aspects from concept through to production and you will be able to see your ideas realised in some of the most exciting vehicles currently under development.

What will you do as a Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer?
 

  • Working as part of a project team, creating designs that deliver class leading characteristics for vehicles and other applications that are at the cutting edge of performance.
  • Complete calculations and analyses to validate and inform design development.
  • Manage testing activities to validate designs, supporting in-house testing capability.
  • Take ownership of the delivery of specific design tasks, respecting customer specifications and timing.
  • Produce design schemes and design specifications that, with the guidance and approval of the Senior Designer, meet customer target criteria.
  • Produce drawings to BS8888 and to design manual using CAD, ensuring drawings are unambiguous, accurate and correct.
  • Produce the necessary assembly and installation drawings / instructions for efficient manufacture and assembly, liaising with Production Engineering to ensure best design for manufacture.
  • Take responsibility for communication within the team and with other areas within Titan.
  • Deliver projects in line with Titan’s quality and health and safety procedures.

 What experience will you need?
 

  • Engineering degree qualified or equivalent experience in similar area.
  • Experience in using Inventor 3D solid modelling or similar.
  • You must have an excellent eye for detail and the ability to work under pressure against often tight deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and confident in speaking to customers and colleagues alike.
  • Professional with a strong work ethic and determination to succeed and continuously improve.
  • FE and / or CFD analysis capability would be a strong advantage.
  • Experience of CAD design within an industrial environment is an advantage.
  • Experience within an automotive motorsport environment is an advantage.
  • Experience of completed CAD based designs that are then translated into CNC programs and CMM programs would be helpful.
