B1.3 Licensed Aircraft Engineer

This opportunity is open to B1.3 Licensed Aircraft Engineers seeking either permanent employment or contract work, across both Line and Heavy Maintenance environments, within a reputable and growing UK rotary organisation.

Overview

We are seeking experienced B1.3 Licensed Aircraft Engineers to support a modern rotary fleet across line and heavy maintenance operations. Engineers with AW189, AW139, or S92 experience are highly desirable. Permanent candidates without type experience may still be considered, with structured type-rating support available within the first 12 months.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform and certify aircraft maintenance across line and/or heavy maintenance activities, including scheduled inspections, defect rectification, and modifications.
• Exercise certification privileges in accordance with company authorisations and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure full compliance with airworthiness, safety, and quality standards.
• Identify and report any safety, quality, or compliance concerns relating to personnel, tooling, materials, or facilities.
• Work closely with Shift Supervisors and the wider engineering team to support operational and maintenance demands.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential

• UK CAA B1.3 Licence (A Licence may be considered for junior entry-level roles).
• Right to live and work in the UK.
• Hands-on helicopter maintenance experience.

Preferred

• Type experience on AW189, AW139, or S92.
• Previous exposure to rotary line and/or heavy maintenance environments.

Contractor Package

• Outside IR35
• Competitive, market-leading rates (dependent on experience and type)
• Type-related pay considerations apply
• No travel or accommodation provided
• Standard shift pattern: 4/4/6/4/4/6 (11-hour shifts)
• Alternative 7/7 or 14/14 patterns may be considered
