Our client, a leading automotive manufacturing company specializing in components, systems, complete vehicles, and engineering services globally, is on the lookout for a passionate CNC Process Engineer to accelerate their success on the racetrack of innovation.

CNC Process Engineer

Scope of Position: Rev up company profitability and enhance the working conditions of the team by analyzing, recommending, and implementing changes to the manufacturing process.

Salary: Up to £45,000

What you will be doing.
  • Develop operating programs for cutting-edge CNC machining centers, tube bending, and robot welding equipment tailored for high-performance engineering.
  • Resolve quality issues arising from manufacturing processes within the facility.
  • Generate and maintain production documents, including Changeover instructions, Operator instructions, Dummy parts procedures, process flow diagrams, and packaging instructions.
  • Identify and implement tooling improvements to ensure precision in components.
  • Plan activities related to the implementation of new equipment, processes, or modifications to existing setups.
  • Mentor Operators and Maintenance teams.
  • Conduct risk assessments on equipment.
  • Drive continuous improvements in new and existing equipment, aligning with the dynamic needs of this client.
  • Conduct time studies on manual processes and equipment.
  • Generate and update PFMEA for manufacturing processes.
  • Champion the Saving and Achieving of Process Documentation.
  • Gather and Review OEE data against equipment, addressing discrepancies with AGM/Plant Manager & Engineering Manager.

What are we looking for?
  • College Diploma or University Degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering, or Five years of experience in a related field or discipline.
  • Strong technical report writing abilities.
  • Excellent problem-solving techniques and methods.
  • Ability to successfully interact with all levels of employees.
  • CNC Programming experience (machining centers, robots, tube bending applications).
  • Automotive experience.
  • Mechanical Engineering experience.
  • Project management skills.
  • Computer literate.
